Lyndsey was not what I was expecting from a trainer, she was so much more!
When I met Lyndsey I was in the market for a new trainer because the gym I was training at had recently closed.
At my previous gym, most of the trainers were male. They always amped up the intensity and pushed us to our limits. So, at first, I was hesitant about having a female trainer because I wasn’t sure that it would be same.
Lyndsey definitely changed my perception for the better.
When we started, I had bad back injury from competitive swimming. She worked around my injury and pushed me to do everything that I was able to do, even if some days all that could manage without pain was a bit of stretching.
Lyndsey helped me expand upon the list of rehab exercises that my physiotherapist had given me so that I was able to progress faster with less monotony.
She helped me fix muscle imbalances and alignment issues that were contributing to my back injury. And she taught me the proper technique for exercises that I had been doing incorrectly.
The combination of all of these things allowed me to continue with my competitive swimming career. Without Lyndsey’s guidance, I might have quit, like so many others were encouraging me to do.
